L’Alimara is a symphonic poem of Medieval character. In the three parts included in this piece, the different very contrasting motives and themes are transformed and developed freely, blended together, within a harmonic whole with a diversity of orchestral colours. This piece has a version for two coblas, timpani and percussion which was premiered in Barcelona in 1983.
