This piece is inspired by Deva, the Celtic goddess of the moon and the water.
The opening depicts the moon shining above the sea at night, and the arrival of the goddess to contemplate this scene.
A short cadenza-like interlude is then heard, recalling sounds of nature such as birds and the breeze through the trees in the nearby forest.
The moon draws the sea back and forth in a tide that grows in intensity, until the heavens open with rain.
The spirits of the forest dance in gratitude for the rainfall.
