Since the word Sons also means “children” in English and “sounds” in Catalan, the main constituent element of music, I decided to compose a small piece divided in two parts, where each of them tries to reflect the spirit of each of my children. The total duration is approximately six minutes.
To facilitate the interpretation of the work, I have moved away from composing it for specific instruments. Thus, the main voice can be played by any instrument that fits the required tessitura, such as a piccolo, a flute, an oboe, a clarinet or a violin; and the accompanying part is written both in harp and piano versions.
