Return to Delphos was composed during the spring of 2005 by commission of Caixa de
Catalunya for the opening ceremony of the painting exhibition “The splendour of the ruin”. Taking the concept of ruin as an image of a glorious past, I found my inspiration in three poems from the book “Cristalls” (Crystals) by the Menorquian poet and friend, Pere Gomila. Return to Delphos is a piece of Mediterranean spirit in which the three poems follow on from each other as a form of presentation, journey, and conclusion.
