Visions about the “Fiesta” takes the melodic motif of the popular Menorcan tune “s’aigua-rós“, also known as Es ball des cóssil. This tune is performed in some of the towns on the island of Menorca on the day of the festival, with the entire party entourage. In the work we find piano solos that represent riders (caixers) falling from their horses during the jaleo. The combination of tradition and celebration is represented by the trumpet playing the popular tune. The alto sax with its melodic lines, and the double bass, on the other hand, contrast creating an atmosphere of somewhat uncontrolled bustle. In short, this work brings together a cluster of emotions that range from the more traditional side of the party to the noisiest.
