Trois Études d’improvisation (2013),  is a work dedicated to both the young and the profesional pianist. It is a series of studies that can be played as a cycle or separately, and in which the technical and expressive challenges allow to work elements such as: combined times (study I), measures without time signature (study II), rehearsed improvisation and changes of sonority (Studio III), where there is the possibility of placating the internal strings of the instrument in the register of the left hand from the first bars to the determined (measure 12).

In contemporary music there are different techniques that prepare the internal mechanism of the piano to produce new sonorities. Placating the piano strings is one of these techniques in which a certain material (cork, cloth, rubber) is mounted on the strings to neutralize resonance and sound. Thus, the piano becomes a percussion instrument without defined pitch.
