I. The Homage to Chopin is a tribute to the distinguished Polish composer, who guided so many young musicians with his brilliant études for piano, in which he explores both tonality and specific technical challenges.

II. Pegasus,a study of greater difficulty, with a rather fast tempo, describes the flight of Zeus’ winged horse to the celestial stables of Olympus.

III. Veils, colors, air… and an inner wind, which we can consider a Nocturne, due to its structure. With our imagination, we see veils fluttering in the sea breeze, an evening, with a person immersed in a state of mind that I would describe as the inner wind of the soul.

IV. Chromatic Study. In this last piece, the chromatic world of the piano and its richness of sound are explored.

The fingering should be understood as a suggestion to aid practice, never as an imposition.

I am very aware of the Romanticism that permeates this work. However, I would like to take this opportunity to defend the total freedom of the composer to use the language they most enjoy. This must be said loud and clear in the 21st century, regarding the so-called freedom(?) of expression.

I have no doubt that history will put everything in its true place.
