Synopsis
Six women on stage star a chamber opera in one act.
Grans són els deserts (Big are the deserts) is the story of a frustrated mental exile attempt, of a very fine path between reason and the total loss of contact with reality. The title comes from a poem by Pessoa, and in the same way as the Portuguese poet, the protagonist also has two heteronyms that in the staging are embodied by two singers: an inquisitive and cruel voice and a character, that as if it were a Greek choir, narrates the story simultaneously, from another perspective.
