Composed in 2011, the score is structured into four short sections. An introduction of solo piano, theme A, theme B and reexposition. Regarding the instrumentation, the soloist part has been designed to demonstrate control in several technical facets such as legato (A), stacatto (B), differentiation of major and minor modes, syncopation, dynamic range f-pp, as well as different accents. It includes parts adapted for trumpet in Bb, horn in F, trombone and euphonium in C. Each of them has been revised and modified taking into account the technical peculiarities of each of the instruments. Thus, the parts of trumpet, horn and euphonium include variations in part B, while the complexity in the part of the trombone lies in the choice of the tonalities, where the interpreter must display agility in the handling of the slide and mastery of the legato. The level of the work is adequate for the entry exam to professional musical studies.
