Tonades d’Amor i Pau is a song cycle for tenor and piano, intended to be performed in its entirety in the order presented, although the individual songs can also be performed separately. Pep Ferrer’s poems speak of the poet’s joy in writing, his romantic experiences, his connection with nature and music, and Christmas, without forgetting the constructive epistolary aspect and his universal human advice… a collection of poems that bring us closer to Pep Ferrer as a person and a human being, which I have captured through my musical ideas for voice and piano. I employ various styles and accompaniments with my own creative touch: from the traditional Schubertian lied, the atmospheric Debussian style, the Spanish pasodoble, the popular Christmas carol…

I began composing it in Alboraia on the 8th of December 2023, and it was completed on the 7th of January 2024. I premiered it as a tenor alongside Fernando Taverner at the piano on 28 May 2025 in the Cloister of Alaquàs Castle as part of the event entitled “Conference-Concert / Ties of Poetry and Music”.
