Originally written for cobla during the months of October and November of 2003, the orchestra version was completed during spring of 2017. El Llobregat is a symphonic poem which pretends to describe the flow of this river. The Llobregat is a narrow trickle when it springs, and it has a full, majestic flow when it finally arrives to the Mediterranean Sea. Therefore, it’s about a totally Catalan river. A Catalan rhapsody which lasts approximately 11 minutes.
