… que canta (Singing air)
… que plora (Crying air)
… que balla (Dancing air)
This work tries to delve into the flamenco style, with its characteristic features and, above all, its own feeling and presence. It requires complicity between the two instruments, which maintain a dialogue throughout the piece, crying, singing and dancing, with very melodic and profound motifs.
It was premiered on May 12, 2016 at the Conservatori Professional de Música de Tortosa, performed by Albert Rodríguez, violin, and Pelegrí Portolés Chulvi, guitar.
The violin part has been revised and fingered by Albert Rodriguez, to whom I deeply appreciate his involvement and contributions to both the technical and the musical aspects of the piece. His proposals have enriched the work and helped give birth to the original idea.
