Looking for ideas for the new composition, I was struck by the magnificent poems by the great Renaissance poet Ausias March. It was not only his extraordinary poetic work that impressed me, but also his active life as a person. I discovered that before writing verses, Ausiàs was first an armed knight who participated in several war expeditions, and later was named falconer of King Alfonso the Magnanimous. These two facets together with that of a great universal poet sourced my inspiration for the four movements of this Symphony.
