Paisaje minimal II (Minimal landscape II)

This work was composed in 2001 and premiered in the Auditorium of the Centro Cultural de Conde Duque (Madrid) on April 28, 2001 by Ara Malikian (violin soloist and conductor), the “Camerata Creativa” Chamber Orchestra and Serouj Kradjian (organ) The work is dedicated to the Lebanese violinist Ara Malikian, and has been recorded by TV2.

This composition is part of a cycle of 12 works with this name (Minimal Landscape) and consists of 3 classic movements. Of dynamic texture, the violinist requires remarkable technical skills for the 1st and 3rd movements, while in the 2nd movement “to the memory of the victims of war” the lyrical-melodic and dramatic role is the dominant trend.
