This piece of music is about a composer alone on a beach. The day before, he had written out on the sand the score of a “sardana”, a folk dance from the Catalan region. He has come back to the beach but sees that a wave has swept the sand and washed away the score. As a result, he has to rewrite the piece of music.

The title: L’eixerit in Catalan means “the quick-witted”. Here it is used in two meaningsproper and ironic.
1. A sharp, bright person, because the composer manages to rewrite the score.
2. A person who wouldn’t even imagine that the sea could wash away his score.
