This arrangement of Florestan’s Aria, for two clarinets and piano, has been made at the request of the clarinetists Juanjo and Ionas Mercadal. My intention has been to make a version highlighting the technical and expressive brilliance of the clarinets, always maintaining the harmony and the Beethovenian spirit, avoiding falling into a gratuitous technical display.
