Commissioned by the Verdehr Trio (“because they liked #1 so much!”) they performed the world premiere in November 2007 with the Michigan State University Orchestra, conducted by Leon Gregorian (a concert honouring the composer’s 90th Birthday). More performances followed, and the Concerto is included in The Verdehr Trio’s Composers Series of DVD recordings.
