This work is a restatement of an original work from 1984 called Pastoral. The subtitle, Pastoral dances, gives an idea of the form and character of the piece. There are two versions for band, the first time with solo dulzaina (which won the Special Jury Prize at the 1st Composition Contest of the City of Castellón 2011). The three dances, preceded by an introduction, gradually increase their tempo, to return finally to the original dance and its melancholic and nostalgic expression. The piece is dedicated to the brilliant clarinetist Gumersindo Berna.
