It was a commission by the pianist Albert Nieto, to whom the composition is dedicated. It is a cycle of 24 pieces written in the 24 key signatures of the first volume of the Well- Tempered Clavier, by Johann Sebastian Bach. Lasting approximately 28 minutes, the piece is composed of pieces in miniature form or aphorism. From minimal thematic material, different styles, gestures and tonal and atonal procedures, combine freely.
