to Miguel Ángel Samperio in memoriam
Twelve years ago, coinciding with a bad time in my life, Miguel Angel asked me to write something for the guitar. Perhaps his warm words, converted afterwards into chords, would become the most intelligent support that very few knew how to communicate. On finishing, and in gratitude, I promised him this gift.
“…through a window” is a gently structured prelude, which voices a silent rain of feelings and emotions, intertwined in an intimate dialogue prone to crying, with an impressionistic air and delicate cadences.
