When life shows us our own transience, all effort loses its meaning. Ignoring the painful moment, you access the deepest happiness, the peace that we waste so many times. In his poetry, Hermann Hesse walks the path to his interior and reflects his own world. In his perception of life, he lets happiness and pain flow intertwined, evidencing it with fine brushstrokes that sound like music in our ears.
Josef Lammerz composed the five songs based on poems by Hermann Hesse in a time of difficult health. Each carefully selected and deeply felt harmony seems to be in exactly the right place during the wonderful sounding moments. Lammerz bequeathed us a music written from the soul, deeply personal, clear, pure and full of truth.
