La Terra devastada was written for the celebration of a conference about ecology and the environment, aimed at young people. It is a short piece of music, composed for the purpose of engaging our children and adolescents in the values of respect for the natural environment as the only way of saving our planet from the threat of irreversible destruction, while at the same time encouraging responsible actions to protect it from the attacks to which it is constantly subjected.
Its language, which is clear and easy to understand, makes it an accessible work for children and adolescents who are studying the theory of music at higher elementary level.
