Rocaprevera (string orchestra)

Rocaprevera is a piece for string orchestra based on a song dedicated to the Virgin of Rocaprevera (Torelló, Osona). After a brief ethereal introduction with solo violin, the theme is heard in a recognizable way. The work progresses from the melodic, harmonic and contrapuntal development of the theme, and with the desire that all voices are interesting and rich. The moment of greatest agitation is a fugue inspired by the main melody that melts and ends in a piano of high expectation and with the double basses maintaining themselves with an obstinate pedal note, from where a crescendo will be built that culminates in the last exposition of the theme, in fortissimo and dramatic intensity.
