These three pieces were conceived by the author with the intention of rendering homage to the most representative poets of the renowned “generation of ‘27”: Pedro Salinas, Luis Cernuda and Rafael Alberti.
In the three works, the music is highly descriptive as it closely accompanies what the text narrates (landscapes, feelings….), while being tonal almost throughout, with a mainly contrapuntistic structure, and a broad use of all the registers of the four voices of the choir.
