All musicians have heard a “viola joke” at some time or other. These are often recited by the violists themselves, showing a great capacity to laugh at themselves. I say reciting because, normally, they do not settle with a single joke and they usually entertain the party, meeting or the journey with a whole collection.
Inspired by this strong characteristic, I composed this duet for them, in order to reflect such healthy humour in music and, with the same purpose, to amuse.
