This is my first work for organ, and the musical crystallization of the great friendship that joins me with Aaron Ribas, an organist whom I admire very much. We met in Germany by chance, and little by little he introduced me to the fascinating world of the organ. I was very happy when I was commissioned to write the Iberian Toccata, which was premiered at the Alfredo Kraus Auditorium in 2016. It is a virtuosic, fast-paced and very compact work at the thematic level. The melodic motif with which the toccata starts will become ubiquitous, and, after a brief central part, which offers a necessary parenthesis to all the preceding activity, resumes even more strongly, following an inexorable crescendo full of energy that culminates in a luminous chord of Mi Major.
