We retrograde the expression and we have the clarity of the light, “la clara luz” in Belda’s beautiful words, but David’s speech does not rock and goes forward looking for the ray, in a vowel conjunction that makes us remember the old hymns of archaic polyphony that call us to reflection, contemplation and look up, looking for that clear light that arrives by semitony. A semitone is enough to go from grayish to white and express that the “cruz humilde de una celda” (humble cross of a cell) becomes “la clara luz” (the clear light) again. (Manuel Seco de Arpe)
